just before the winter holidays were about to end, Scarlett found a mystery she knew she had to share with her friends.
it was a strange orb... well, that's if we're going for the fancy way of describing it. It was actually a glass sphere she found whilst rooting through the attic, trying to find something else.
this sphere was like nothing she had ever encountered before. For a start she hadn't really seen an orb before... but that wasn't the only wierd thing about it. upon bringing it closer to her eye it revealed a world, which may have actuallty existed or not... that was still to be discovered.
she tried to find out more about it on the day she found it, but nothing could be found... and as for the thing she was actually looking for in the attic... she never actually found it.
there was one thing which wasn't a mystery though, she knew she would definitely have to tell her friends at school about it the next day.

Scarlett originally appeared in a story i wrote for a practise english exam of all things...
The character appeared in an original story with the prompt being something like 'Write a story about a magical world'... or something like that... The picture depicted a young girl holding an orb of some sort, so that's where this character originates from... is it technically plagarism..? yeah probably but oh well...
I'll give a brief synopsis of the story i wrote:
One day, Scarlett found a strange looking orb, holding it up to her eye revealed a world much like ours... but it was rather peculiar that you were able to see it through this, or at least that's what Scarlett thought.
as it was under timed conditions, i wasn't able to write much... maybe one day i'll expand on this idea - thankfully i archived what i wrote for the exam :)
